Healthy Popsicles!
Summer is here, and that means ice cream and popsicles. To save money and serve a healthy, yummy treat I make my own Healthy Popsicles.
Dress them up with some red and blue fruit and you have a great 4th of July Snack!
The kids have so much fun making these, they love that they can customize their popsicles to what they like. I love that they are healthy and filled with fruit and not sugar.
Items Needed:
- Your Favorite Fruits (We used, Strawberries, Blueberries, Watermelon, Blackberries, and Grapes)
- Vanilla Yogurt
- Popsicle Molds, or plastic cups
- Popsicle sticks (if using plastic cups)
I use a muffin tin to hold the sliced fruit so the kids can easily grab their favorite fruits.
Start by layering a small amount of yogurt into your mold and add some of fruit.
Alternate your fruit and yogurt until your mold is full.
Tap your mold gently on a hard surface to remove all of the air bubbles.
Once your mold is filled, gently place a popsicle stick into the center. The fruit should keep it standing up straight without support.
Freeze for 4-6 hours or until completely frozen.
