Homemade Windex

I love using my own homemade products. No harsh chemicals that I cannot pronounce, and they are super cheap to make. I seem to go through Windex in my house like it is water, so about a year ago, I decided to start making my own Homemade Windex, and it works sooo much better then the store bought stuff.

I use an old Windex bottle, and just reuse it each time I make it.

  • 1/8 Cup (1oz) White Ammonia
  • 1/4 Cup (4oz) Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol
  • 1 Drop Laundry Detergent
  • Water – To Fill The Bottle

  1. Add your Ammonia, Rubbing Alcohol and Laundry Detergent into your spray bottle.
  2. Fill the rest of the bottle up with water
  3. Give it a gentle swirl to combine ingredients
  4. Get your old cleaning cloth or newspaper out and get those windows clean!

I think this stuff cleans way better than the store bought stuff, and it even smells like it!

I also use old newspapers instead of paper towels. Free to use, and in my opinion, leave a cleaner window.
