I love using my own homemade products. No harsh chemicals that I cannot pronounce, and they are super cheap to make. I seem to go through Windex in my house like it is water, so about a year ago, I decided to start making my own Homemade Windex, and it works sooo much better then the store bought stuff.
I use an old Windex bottle, and just reuse it each time I make it.
Ingredients:
- 1/8 Cup (1oz) White Ammonia
- 1/4 Cup (4oz) Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol
- 1 Drop Laundry Detergent
- Water – To Fill The Bottle
Directions:
- Add your Ammonia, Rubbing Alcohol and Laundry Detergent into your spray bottle.
- Fill the rest of the bottle up with water
- Give it a gentle swirl to combine ingredients
- Get your old cleaning cloth or newspaper out and get those windows clean!
I think this stuff cleans way better than the store bought stuff, and it even smells like it!
I also use old newspapers instead of paper towels. Free to use, and in my opinion, leave a cleaner window.
