I have been on a health kick lately, but don’t get me wrong, I am still a Cotton Candy addict.

But, instead of going for a sweet cotton candy filled treat, I opted to try to make a sweet treat that was healthy as well. These Chocolate Energy bites are supper yummy, and are a great snack for when you are craving something sweet.

These Chocolate Energy Bites are simple to make (right up my alley), and contain Flax Seed, which has so many health benefits!

Flax Seed Benefits:

  • It contains Omega-3 essential fatty acids, which are great
  • Flaxseed contains both the soluble and insoluble types of Fiber.
  • Studies have suggested that flaxseed may have a protective effect against breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer.
  • Flax seeds are the richest source of lignans. Which is a type of phytoestrogens with antioxidant, anti-tumor, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties.
  • They help with ulcers, irritable bowel disorders and improve your colon health, lowering the risk of colon cancer significantly.
  • Flax seed will give your immune system a boost and help reduce inflammation in your body.
  • Will help lower LDL cholesterol.

Plus, so many more benefits! Who knew such a little seed could have such a big impact!
