Homemade Healthy Kool-Aid

My kids LOVE Kool-Aid, but I hate all of the sugar and god knows what else that is in it. So, instead of Kool-Aid, I serve them Healthy Kool-Aid, they love it, and I love that I know what is in it!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Berry flavored tea bags (I love Stash Herbal Teas), just remember if it is for the kiddos I would go with a non caffeinated tea.
  • 4 Cups of boiling water
  • 1 Cup Cold Water
  • 2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar
  • Sweetener of choice and flavor

Directions:

  1. Steep your tea bags in your boiling water for 5-6 minutes in a 1 gallon container.
  2. Add your apple cider vinegar and sweetener to the hot water.
  3. Fill the rest of the container with cold water.
  4. Serve over ice, and enjoy!

What a great idea – very nutritious on top of having a great berry flavor. I’d use Stevia as the sweetener (the real stuff, not the stuff from the grocery store).
