Hibachi Steak and Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • Steak:
  • 2lbs of steak (Flank, skirt or any other cut will work just fine), Cubed
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Sesame seed oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Rice:
  • 1 Cup of cooked white rice
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Sesame seed oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Steak:
  2. Cube steak into bite size pieces.
  3. Coat the bottom of a hot skillet or WOK with sesame seed oil and add butter and sesame seeds.
  4. Add in steak, mushrooms and soy sauce and sauté until steak is medium rare and mushrooms are tender.
  5. Remove from skillet or WOK and set aside.
  6. Rice:
  7. In the same skillet or WOK, coat the bottom with sesame seed oil and add butter.
  8. Add in your cooked white rice, and sesame seeds, and sauté over medium heat.
  9. Add in your soy sauce and continue to sauté until rice is fully coated, and heated through.
  10. You can combine the steak back into the WOK with the rice, or serve them separately.
Notes
This meal goes great with a side of sautéed onions and zucchini.
